They started here in Atlanta where I live, but they now tour all over. I've seen them a few times here at a few different venues. All the shows have been great.

One note though is if you EVER have a chance to catch them doing an acoustic set, don't miss it for the world! The first time I saw them was at a very small gig they did at a local mom & pop type coffee shop here in front of about 25 people, and I was instantly in love.

I'd say soft rock. And if you can only listen to one song, you must hear "Images". Can't get it out of my head for weeks after hearing it, but it's cool cause I don't want to let it go :D
