I like them, but to be honest I haven't played any in ages. For a long time, my only player has been packed away in a corner out of reach. I've been moving a lot of stuff around and hope, one day, to convert some of the music to digital form so I can play it while I'm working on my PC.

Yea that's why I haven't invested in vinyl at the moment .. records are a biotch to pack and unpack.

I will always have my digital music but I think there is just some hidden joy in putting on a record. Something different I suppose (Not to mention the cool hi-fi gear you can buy to accommodate your collection).

It was a compilation of "black blues". Stevie Ray Vaughan (weird, the guy was white), Sonny Boy Williamson, Buddy Guy, JL Hooker .. all the "biggies" of that genre. I was so proud to own it ;)

It's a very nostalgic experience for me. Whenever I listen to a record, my mind drifts back to my childhood, when the family would gather around the record player to listen to music, radio serials, or books on audio. Those were great times.

You might like the Black Keys ... they are a great modern band that incorporates some old blues ...

I'm originally from Memphis so I have a special place in my heart for blues^^
