hmm, the beastie boys are a band I used to listen to, but I don't know if they can beat Madonna, not talking about quality, but Madonna has a big name, she has always been on the media, while the beastie boys have not

I'm sure they'll both make it in with 5 available spots. There's a couple on that list that I've never even heard of, not that me hearing of a band makes them HOF worthy but.... :P

Donna Summer and Madonna .. in the ROCK and roll hall of fame .. uff. They're pop and good in what they do, but they're not the only "non-rockers" to be put into the hall of fame.

Yea but Madonna really did define a lot of the pop you heard early to mid 90's. Not to mention she was a icon of 80's music.

I absolutely agree with you ;)

She's one of the best artists in her genre, she's a success after all these years. What really makes me smile though is the presence of non-rockers on the Hall of Fame .. anyway .. they're all good artists, that's for sure ;)

I'm not a big Madonna fan but I am amazed she is still able to release hits. She is one of the few 80's stars that figured out you need to change your music style to remain popular.

Michael Jackson never got that (Well that and his kid problem  )
