Not really.

Find me one kid of any age that seriously believes they can get their own 'Fox'. All films have to have a love story that ends nicely or the western world won't watch it!

Now this is mainly true. This is one of the things that defines "Hollywood" from indie. Ocasionally you will see Hollywood movies that don't end well, The Departed is one I can think of, but the good ending is mainly prevelant.

The Departed ended amazingly well. What are you saying? ;D Ended well in a "that didn't end very well" way, ya know what i'm sayin?

And I COMPLETELY disagree. Movies do not have to have love stories and Transfomers put a love story in a movie that did NOT need one AT ALL. I don't understand what they were thinking.

I am just so disappointed in this movie. The worse part is my friends, younger bro, and others all think it was the end all be all.

I'm practically shunned from conversation. lol.

Did you go to the cinema to watch it? Makes a huge difference. I watched it naughtily and THEN on the big screen. Stupid me.

Let me clarify myself ... I meant "did not end well" as in not a happy ending and not a terrible ending. I thought The Departed was one of the better movies released recently.

Hollywood rarely produces a movie where the hero does not win. The ones that do generally end up being great movies.

I for one liked the movie, but I must say it pushed a lot of propaganda in the forum of advertisement of vehicles. I agree the plot SUCKED! considering that the cartoon from 80's had a much better plot, hell even the cartoon movie version was better...

But I did enjoy the movie, it was nice to see an idea from long ago brought back.,

You are not alone ... I'm still amazed IMDB rated that movie 7.7

I rather enjoyed Transformers. Having a the relationship in the film was okay with me, but I do feel it got far too much screen time. Especially with things like her leaning over the motor and the masturbation joke. If I had been a parent taking my kids to see this movie, I would have been very unhappy at that point.

Regarding the stereotyping of Jazz as "black," I blame that on the old cartoon. He was stereotyped the same way in that. I do wish he had been able to do something more before getting killed. That was just a waste of a potentially good character.

Starscream, I expect him to go look for other Decepticons and come back with reinforcements (probably setting up Shockwave or Galvatron as the next big villain). He's not going to be written off so easily.

Oh, and Peter Cullen has already confirmed that there will be a Transformers 2, and the teenage boy is supposed to be signed for two more movies as well.
