This came out of another thread by Erik ... he put it a "good-bad" movie is a movie that technically has a horrible theme / plot /acting or whatever but somehow is just damn fun to watch.

Some examples of this off the top of my head:

Kindergarten Cop (Or hell any Arnold Schwarzenegger movie for that matter) - horrible movie but a hell of a time to watch. I peg this movie as probably my favorite all time Arnold movie. How can you not love a movie where a body builder like Arnold Schwarzenegger teaching a bunch of toddlers?

Die Hard 4 - while I think the first Die Hard was probably one of my top action flicks, Die Hard 4 was one hell of a cheesy movie. Where DH4 gains major brownie points was its lack of computer animation. When other movies are trying to *wow* audiences with the latest and greatest CG animation *cough* transformers, vanhelsing, daredevil, star wars episode 1, 2 and 3, Matrix 2 and 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 ... I can go on *cough* DH4 had a minimum of CG animation. Also, while I agree a lot of the stunts where *unreal* and unlikely, I came in with the notion the movie was going to be over the top and was overly pleased when it was.

Any 80's movie - I can conjure most 80's movies into one sentence: bad hair, great music and funky clothes. This category includes just about all Molly Ringwald movies (With the exception of Breakfast Club), every Cusack film from the 80's, St. Elmo's Fire (a all time favorite of mine) , and I could go on and on. I will throw caution to ya'll - I'm a child of the 80's so I do hold something special for just about everything 80's - but you've got to admit there are a lot of 80's movies that are just damn bad - but fucking great.

Legally Blond - it took me a lot of courage to put this one on here because in all reality it is a chick flick. Maybe it's because my sister is dumb blond (but somehow smart) or something else but I enjoyed this movie. The acting was sub par, the plot was generic but somehow this movie managed to amuse me. I have it in my books as a top 100 ... great comedy too

Ok I can continue with this but I will stop and let you guys fill in. What are you movies that are "bad" that you love?

I don't know if you can include those movies because they are purposefully trying to be cheesy and "horrible" and hence they are humorous.

Very good point ... I think I'm going to expand on my original list when I get a chance.

When it comes to great freakin' movies, my choices are:

Harry Potter movies
The Labyrinth
The Count of Monte Cristo
50 First Dates
St. Elmo's Fire
Home Alone

I'm gonna make these type of movies after I graduate in my
film making course, wish me luck guys! :)

My favorite horrible movie is Slither. It's about this weird, alien blob creature from outer space that takes over other creature's bodies and turns them into zombies that will eventually bond with the blob to form a mean, green, Jabba-the-Hutt-like eating machine.

I don't know if they deliberately made it that way, but I find the whole thing hilarious.

It's so bad, it's good.
