Hi ,
I'm Dirk.

I am a German guy living in Kunming China.
now I am living here in Kunming for almost 4 years, together with my Chinese wife.
Became Father two moths ago. (David)
And am trying to make some money by starting up my own business.

Kunming is a great little(6 mil) Chinese town in the South of China.
Nice weather , quite cheap relaxed, good for living (bars etc.)
but bad for getting a good job.

I like working and playing with my PC , natural/applied science traveling, listening to music, reading and watching series.

PC: I like programming but have no time for it in the moment.
But now I am quite busy making/programming web pages and forums.
My two favorite PC Games:
Civ4 http://www.civilization.com
ColorTetris http://www.wegroup.org/games/tetris-...lortetris.html

Reading.
Mostly science fiction and Fantasy
watching Series:
Mostly Science fiction. (star trek, the gate, Babylon, Atlantis .....)
Beeing in China I have most of my favorite Series on DVD. (DVD less then 80 cents)
traveling:
I liked to travel as a backpacker.
For as long as possible. that used to be at least 4 weeks a year.
1996 I quit my job and traveled for 11 months (Baltic countries Russia China Korea Japan)
2003 until now quit my job again for traveling (until now)

music:
:( I haven't really listened to music since ... I dont know exactly but for about ten years.
But I gonna change (it) now !!!! (maybe next week? so little time)
China is a great place for doing this .
You can get about any CD for less than 1 Dollar. Sometimes you just have to wait a liitle bit longer for the latest CDs.
And Kunming is also a great place for listening to lots of different kinds live music.
Especailly because here in Yunnan there are a lot of different minorities (nationalities, ethnic groups).

I like(d) any kind of music.
I liked to lie on my bed , the head between to speakers, and listening to music for hours.
My favorite bands/songwriters were always bands that were at the time I listened to them not very famous/popular.
I was always several years late or early.

So next week i gonna buy a nice stereo
and check for the next concerts/bars.

Ok, I have to stop know . Lunch is waiting.

Hope to have a lot of fun here
and get to know lot's of new things, ideas, styles .....
Dirk

SORRY for my "I can't see any reasons"
That was stupid.
I didn't ment to be that provocative.
I forgot about your first post. That you are
"24 and still taking some part time classes at school up here in the DC area."

Taking part time classes is a very good reason.
