I've got two really memorable shows I've been to.

My first was seeing a band called the Wallflowers when they were still touring. The show was at a outdoor festival in Memphis called "Beale Street Music Festival" and it just so happened that the lead singer of the Wallflowers' (Jacob Dillon) father (Bob Dillon) was playing that same festival.

Well for the encore Bob Dillon came out and played the last song with his son. I'd have to say a very very very cool moment. Great band too ... they just announced their first tour in over two years ... you should check them out if they play near you.

My other favorite show was seeing Blues Travelers at a small club in Tucson, AZ (Where I went to school). It was only a few days after September 11th when a lot of things were up in the air (for obvious reasons). Blues Travelers decided to not cancel the show and play anyways. Had to be a very memorable monent indeed ... more so because they opened with their own version of the star spangled banner. Not to mention they are a great live act anyways :-)

So what are some of your favorite shows?

My favorite so far has to have been when The Clarks came to a local bar here and played. It was nice seeing a semi-large name band in a small town bar performing for free!

Ahh yes it is always nice to see a large act in a small venue. Makes it more personal.

For me probably not the best but, most memorable I would have to say a classical music concert out in the open in a Palace Garden in Portugal. It was fantastic, as the orchestra were moving with their instruments around us. The overall music experience of it was divine from that perspective as they, were interacting with us. The next one not really a show/festival as Fado in Portugal is considered to be a poetic art in it's finest beauty. I went to a restaurant and listened to a lady sing Fado all night, and boy that was out of this world. A truely mesmorising irreplaceable experience, especially in the environment I was in.

For those who may not be familiar with fado, check out the following link. This is what a typical evening of Fado sounds like;

O wow that does sound nice! My hometown has whats called the "Sunset symphony" Where the town's orchestra plays on a stage in front of our river while the sun is setting. Very very relaxing.

Arcade Fire plays a sick nasty live show.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers know how to light up the stage as well.
But man, until you've been to a flaming lips show....

I'm jealous you saw Arcade Fire ... I came close to going but couldn't get any of my friends to get tickets. Should have just gone alone lol.

You should've dude. It's riveting.
You see, normally it's good to have some friends to go with ya know? You don't want to go to a concert alone.
But the fact that you can see an Arcade Fire show and not need to know anyone there is a testament in itself.
Hopefully you can see them in the near future!
I hear they are touring with LCD Soundsystem. Now that would be a concert.
