Yea 2001 has got to be the forefront of sci-fi flicks. Good suggestion MrShears.

2001: A space odyssey. an epic drama of researching the unknown. Kubrick made a not-yet-surpaseed masterpiece, with excellent music and special effects. a must see for everyone.

Kubrick is legend: Eyes Wide Shut, 2001, The Shining

His directing is fresh. I love it.

That Memento (R) film is the first one I was drawn to, out of the ones that have been mentioned, great description on it. :) I may have to watch it someday, out of genuine curiousity.

Please do! I'm excited that you took interest in it. Cinematography and conceptual artistry is phenomenal.

Love me if you dare(2003): A French love story wrapped around a game of "Dares". Beautiful movie.

Boondock Saints(1999): Two Irish men begin to take the law into their own hands after hearing the word of God.

Field of Dreams(1989): Kevin Costner after hearing voices decides to destroy his corn fields for a baseball field.

The United States of Leland P. Fitzgerald(2005): The story of a trouble teen in a juvenile detention center and the way his actions affect those around him.

Moulin Rouge(2001): Ewan Mcgregor and Nicole Kidman in a musical love story set in 1899, Paris.

My top 5.
