The Illusionist is an Academy Award-nominated 2006 period drama written and directed by Neil Burger and starring Edward Norton, Jessica Biel, and Paul Giamatti. Based loosely on Steven Millhauser's story "Eisenheim the Illusionist", The Illusionist tells the story of Eisenheim (Norton), a magician in turn-of-the-20th-century Vienna.

Just saw it for the second time over the weekend and have to say what a great flick. The only thing I had trouble with is once you know the ending some of the other parts don't make sense. Such as:

Ehh it just goes back to a observation my friend made that a lot of movies like this don't make sense once you know the ending to the movie.

This one does a fairly good job but still leaves some things unanswered.

Unusual Suspects on the other hand is a movie my friend states is perfect ...

I absolutly adored it. On an odd tangent... my wife considered the sex scene to be one of the most romanticly filmed of all time. With no visable nudity.
