I have found that recently indie films are better than the mainstream stuff that comes out. Thje indies films have less flash but they focus more on stories that makes sense and captivate the audience. don you think?

Well that mainly has to due with indie films flexibility to try something "unproven".

From what I can tell your big movie companies will only do something if they know they can get a big audience to watch it. This often means a boring / old formula (Such as classic geeky guy gets hard girl etc etc). Occasionally they will stumble on something good but for the most part they are unimaginative.

I guess it just depend on the actor and the type of movie.
