Fameseeker and the Mono was released by the group Arizona for free via bittorrent.

We come to you with this offering because we believe that the current incarnation of the music industry is in shambles, what with concert ticket prices skyrocketing, widespread DRM crippling our ability to control and distribute media, and the overwhelming whoring of bands that flit in and out of the cultural consciousness like fruit flies.

It's time to make a stand and start making sense. If it is indeed all about the music, then there is nothing better to do than share it!

1. Thimble
2. Midday Midnight
3. Life is Great
4. Bird on the Floor
5. Fameseeker (Echoes from the Halls of Decay)
6. Streetsweeper
7. ...Imagining You

The albums opening track, Thimble, is a must listen. Airy and light with a night undertone of what seems to be a cello. The song leads into Midday which is more acoustic (With a nice violin background) and reminds me of Modest Mouse song in a strange way. Life is great is more heavy on the guitar but is still a great track. Bird on the floor switches back to much lighter piano with a acoustic guitar. The albums title track Fameseeker is a odd song and is purely musical with a lot of sample noises and drums - very hard to describe. It leads into streetsweeper - a track I'm not to found of. The albums last song ...Imagining You is a great way to finish the album. Almost Beetle like it is another acoustic number that leads into a some great drums and guitar - I would call it my second favorite track behind Thimble.

Overall the album is great! Adding to the fact they released it for free it's almost a no brainier to go seek this album and give it a listen! Just remember to return the favor and see them live next time they are in your town ;-)
